Job Overview
Honeywell is hiring a Software Engineer I in Bangalore to develop and integrate advanced software solutions for connected buildings, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Building Management Systems (BMS).
The role involves full stack software development using React JS, JavaScript, C#, .NET, Node.js, SQL Server and cloud technologies. The selected candidate will contribute to enterprise-level applications that improve building security, sustainability, efficiency and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Single Page Applications (SPA) using React JS, SCSS and CSS3.
- Develop backend applications using C# .NET and Node.js.
- Implement Test Driven Development using Jest, XUnit and NUnit.
- Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Work with technical leads to develop Spikes, Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and prototypes.
- Participate in software design, development, testing and integration activities.
- Support end-to-end project execution and timely delivery.
- Review development tasks and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Mentor and support junior developers in their technical growth.
Secondary Skills
- SQL Server programming and database integration.
- React JS component development using Storybook JS.
- Knowledge of Micro Frontend architecture.
- Understanding of GoF Design Patterns, SOLID and KISS principles.
- Knowledge of PSIM domain solutions and building automation integration is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (K8S) is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Science, Technology or a related technical field.
- Minimum 1+ years of software development experience.
- Experience in full stack development using JavaScript and/or C# .NET.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and IoT platforms.
- Experience developing enterprise-level or large-scale applications.
- Understanding of Test Driven Development practices.
- Hands-on experience with React JS.
- Knowledge of WebAPI, gRPC or GraphQL is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Agile software development experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative development environment.
- Passion for learning new technologies.
- Knowledge of smart buildings, IoT, Building Automation Systems or Building Management Systems is an advantage.
